Arin: Svelte Lab Lady Mix Needs New Human Home
By Door County Humane Society - Sponsored by Serves You Right Catering

Hi Journal fans! My name is ARIN, and I am a dog at the Door County Humane Society. This latest snowstorm didn’t bother me a bit – I love running in the big fenced area here at the shelter. Often one of the other dogs will come out so we can play together, and that’s the best. I believe I get along with most dogs, but those cat creatures I see through the window…not sure about how we would do together. I can amuse myself (and you!) by tossing and chasing toys across the floor, or flinging a tennis ball into the air and then catching it.
Sometimes the kennel coordinator, Rachel, will take me for car rides, and that is a blast! I’m really good in the car. Can’t wait for Spring when I can stick my head out the window to feel the breeze and say hello to all the passers-by.
Because I only 1-2 years old, my energy level is high; long walks or lots of play time are high on my list of qualities in a new family. My favorite treat is a rawhide bone and those I go after with gusto. The shelter staff has helped me with my basic commands – sit, stay, and down. I’m getting pretty good and only slip up once in a while. I’m a svelte 40 lb. Lab mix with a medium length coat is a handsome shade of black with feminine white accents. In early February, a kind person found me running on County Road MM in Nasewaupee Township and brought me into the Humane Society where I would be safe and warm. Now they tell me I’ve been spayed, and completed all my shots, so I’m ready to be the best friend a family ever had. Let’s get together soon!
Love, Arin
