Bleu the Beagle Looking for Forever Home
By Door County Humane Society - Sponsored by Serves You Right Catering

Hi There! My name is BLEU and I’m a Beagle. Since I'm a happy-go-lucky kind of guy,
the "blue" in my name doesn't refer to my disposition. Maybe I smelled like cheese when I arrived! It was a frosty day in early February
when I arrived at the Humane Society. The temperatures had been down to 12 degrees with snow, and I had nowhere
to go to be protected. After
several days, a kind man found me in a place called "Sevastopol", and brought me
to the shelter. Lots of warm blankets
and warm-hearted people here, and I feel great now.
I like to take my time waking up in the morning. Before rushing into the day, let's
just streeeetch one way and then the other. But once I'm awake, I'm ready to head out into the fenced
yard for a brisk run or go out with you for our first walk of the day. Being on my own was very scary, and I
don’t want to be lost ever again, so please keep me on a leash. That way I can sniff all the
interesting spots while still staying safe by your side.
I’m a bigger Beagle, meaning the 15” variety. There are several other Beagles here
with me, and they are the smaller 13” type. We all get along great – I love other dogs. Because I’m a hound and bred originally
for hunting rabbits and small game, a house with a cat or other small furry
animal wouldn’t fit with my instincts. Show me the ropes and be my pack leader, and I’ll be the best friend you
could ask for.
I’m a young guy, between 1-3 years old. Since I’ve been at the Humane Society
I’ve had “the operation” and my rabies shot. A family that has time to play with me or a couple that
loves to walk and explore is my wish.
Please come meet me and let’s see if this could work! For more information about
