Very easily done with one visit to the Door County Humane Society. So many adorable faces and personalities, and if you take two they can keep each other (and you) amused constantly. There are an abundance of kittens at the shelter right now, and of course they will be there until just the right forever family walks in the door. Kittens are adoptable when they have reached at least 4 months or 4 pounds. That is the threshold for spaying/neuter surgery and a rabies shot. All our kittens must be sterilized, vaccinated, and micro-chipped before leaving the Humane Society; it’s a matter of responsible pet care.
Plan a visit to the shelter soon! Stop in at the DCHS booth this weekend in Fish Creek’s Inside/Outside Sale. The Humane Society is here to take care of animals that others can no longer care for, or that have strayed away from their original homes. Please call us if a financial or family situation makes it impossible to continue caring for a family pet. Our first concern is for that animal who does not have a say in the process. Contact DCHS at 746-1111 to discuss the surrender process in a non-judgmental, positive way.
