Grizz ... An Adventure Cat
By Door County Humane Society and Sponsored by Serves You Right Catering
Aug 3, 2011 - 8:52:00 AM
If you’ve looked at the bulletin boards at Main Street Market or the Community Center in Egg Harbor, you’ll have seen a “Found Cat” announcement. This 3-5 year old orange & white neutered male was wandering around Apple Ridge Road, off County E. The same kind people who put up those notices brought this stray to the Humane Society in mid-June.
We have named him GRIZZ, and he’s had quite an adventure since coming to the shelter. A large polyp was removed from his ear canal on June 23rd. As he recuperates, Grizz often shakes his head and his third eye lid is visible. These behaviors will disappear as his recovery continues. Although the veterinarian who removed the polyp felt she had gotten the entire growth, there is an outside chance it may return ... only time will tell.
Grizz is a calm cat who would love to be out of his cage with a companion or two to fuss over him. Adoption fee is $85.00.
