Lucky ... Little, Persistent Chirps of Delight

The favorite position for this cat named LUCKY? Held in your arms like a baby! Lucky is a brown tabby & white lady who was found along Deer Trail Road in Nasewaupee back in January.
For quite a while, Lucky was in a cage in the public area of the shelter, looking out at the world through bars. She was quite vocal in letting us know that she really should be a free-range cat, and last month Lucky’s time came to be released into the lobby world.
She is a total goofball! Lucky’s personality will take her far… hopefully right into a new home, where she’ll provide hours of entertainment. When you pick her up, flip her onto her back in your arms just like a baby, and she will squeak with joy. Little, persistent chirps of delight and you’ll swear she’s smiling at you!

Lucky gets along perfectly with the (many) other cats in the shelter lobby. She’s gained two pounds since being rescued, and now tips the scale at 11 lbs. Lucky’s up to date with vaccinations and is spayed. Adoption cost is $85.00.
DCHS set a new one-month record in June for cat intake – 60 cats came in as strays or surrenders. If you know of anyone searching for a new companion, please invite them to visit the Humane Society.
