"Aren't I pretty?"

"Come play with me!"
Yes, the cold weather is here but here’s PIPPA who is happiest on brisk days! Wouldn’t it be great to have someone to walk with on snowy mornings?

Pippa just became available for adoption after her spay surgery and vaccinations were completed.  She’s a character from the Town of Sturgeon Bay, a Husky/cattle dog mix approximately 2-3 years old.

A perfect time to meet Pippa is at the Door County Humane Society Open House this Saturday, December 10th from noon to 4pm.  The shelter will be open for tours including some “behind the scenes” rooms not normally open to non-staff.  Come see how more than 600 homeless animals are cared for, and hear about plans to expand in 2012.  Refreshments, decorations, and good conversation about the adoption guarantee mission of DCHS.  And that colorful logo apparel on sale as well!

The Humane Society is here to take care of animals that others can no longer care for, or that have strayed away from their original homes.  Please call us if a financial or family situation makes it impossible to continue caring for a family pet.  Our first concern is for that animal who does not have a say in the process.  Contact DCHS at 746-1111 to discuss the surrender process in a non-judgmental, positive way.

We're located at 3475 Park Drive, Sturgeon Bay
(County PD, across from Cherryland Airport)
