A whole bunch as it turns out, and CINDY is the dog that proves it. She is an absolute treasure, with personality galore to delight you for years to come. Cindy is a 6 year old Beagle/Bassett Hound mix, surrendered to the shelter by an elderly owner. She’s happy as can be and becoming quite an expert at enticing treats using those big wistful brown eyes. Cindy does well with adults, children, and other dogs. She’s just about perfect! You can be certain about Cindy! Dog adoption cost is $150; cat adoption fee is $90. All DCHS animals are vaccinated, spayed/ neutered, and micro-chipped. Adopters have 30 days free pet health insurance with the option of continuing on their own. The shelter is running very low on canned cat food (pate-style). There’s a brat fry at EconoFoods on Saturday, July 7 from 10am-2pm to help raise funds for operating expenses. The Humane Society is here to take care of animals that others can no longer care for, or that have strayed away from their original homes. Please call us if a financial or family situation makes it impossible to continue caring for a family pet. Our first concern is for that animal who does not have a say in the process. Contact DCHS at 746-1111 to discuss the surrender process in a non-judgmental, positive way.
