In the glow of lantern light, visitors will have an opportunity to tour the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse after sunset this fall.  Guests to the lighthouse will set back in time … sharing in the adventures of the second keeper, William Duclon, who manned the light from 1883 – 1918.

A special treat will be appearances by the Northern Door Storytellers Guild, whose members will share stories, poetry, and song.

Evening tours will be available on Friday and Saturday, October 14 & 15, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.  This special event is appropriate for all ages; warm clothing is recommended.

“Mother Nature reminded us who was in charge with the terrible windstorm last week, but the lighthouse was untouched and the colors in Peninsula State Park are beautiful.  We hope everyone will stop by for this very special event,” said Patti Podgers, Eagle Bluff Lighthouse curator/manager.  “The lamp will be lit and we have prepared a lovely evening of storytelling and music.  Come join us!”

Eagle Bluff Lighthouse Museum is located in Peninsula State Park on Shore Road.  A park sticker is required for entry.  Admission to the lighthouse is as follows:  adults, $5; students
13 – 18, $2; youth 6 - 12, $1; and children 5 and under are free.  Eagle Bluff Lighthouse Museum is operated by the Door County Historical Society.  For additional information call Patti Podgers at 920.495.7330 or 920.421.3636.
