Women of all ages will gather in the upper meeting space at Glas Coffee House and take part in a discussion based on the book "Single: The Art of Being Satisfied, Fulfilled and Independent" by author Judy Ford. According to reviews on Barnes & Noble.com, "Single" is, "about upholding the most enduring relationship of all: the one we have with ourselves." The book chronicles a collection of true life experiences and practical wisdom that helps readers celebrate their single status. There is no cost to attend this 4 session discussion group held each second Tuesday from October through January. However you will need a copy of the book to read. (Women's Employment Project) of Sturgeon Bay. WEP is an organization that provides home energy and employment solutions for today and tomorrow, for both men and women. WEP has been serving the community for over 30 years and is best known with by their affiliation with the Door County Job Center, Door Tran, and the Energy Assistance & Weatherization Programs. Gina will give an overview of the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP) at the luncheon on Thursday and will schedule appointments for households to apply for the Energy Assistance Thursday afternoon and all day Friday at the Rutledge Room.
