Dear Skipper:

I am wondering who your favorite musicians are. What kind of music do you like? Which artists are your favorites? Do you like Justin Bieber?
Do you have an iPod? Do otters go to concerts and just hang out with friends and listen to stuff?

Your fan,
Jessica, age 12
Appleton

Dear Jessica,

What a fun question!  I do like music - a lot - but my favorite music is the sounds of nature.  Birds tweeting, crickets chirping and all the other beautiful sounds that occur in nature every day.  If you take the time to stop and listen to them, you will discover that they are beautiful!  That is music to my ears!

I do like Justin Bieber—and not just for his music.  Justin has spent time advocating for the worthy organization called “People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals” (PETA).  He has done interviews and advertisements for them and wants everyone to make a difference in helping animals.  Isn’t that nice to know?

I love going to concerts—all otters do!  My favorite musicians are ones that not only have a talent for playing music, but also have the heart to want to help the world become a nicer place.  Artists who will play benefit concerts, donate money to various causes, or advertise for a charitable organization are ones that I spend my time listening to.   I do have an iPod and I bet you can guess what color it is—green!  I love anything that has to do with our great planet!

Your friend,
Skipper
