The Woodwalk Concert Series Presents "Buckets of Rain: A Tribute to Bob Dylan" on September 1, 2, 3, 8, and 9 at 7:00 pm.

In honor of Bob Dylan's 70th birthday, six well-known Door County musicians have come together and are celebrating with five nights of Dylan’s music. Tommy Burroughs, Katie Dahl, Rich Higdon, Jeanne Kuhns, Eric Lewis and Patrick Palmer have each chosen a selection of their favorite Dylan songs to perform, backing each other with fine vocals, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, harmonica, washboard and other percussion instruments and bass.

Bob Dylan’s deep well of songs is vast and has created its own musical culture. He has influenced countless musicians, and his lyrics are known all around the world. His keen sense of observation, social conscience, his brilliant lyrics and his no fear attitude in writing about anything sets him apart. He is an icon in the music world, and the following musicians are thrilled to be interpreting and honoring his work.

Tommy Burroughs has wowed audiences with his amazing fiddle, mandolin and guitar playing. He has won the NARAS Premier String Player award in Memphis a record 7 times. He is an accomplished songwriter and is one of the most respected multi-instrumentalists in the Memphis area.

Katie Dahl is a Door County resident and national touring artist who is well known for her work with American Folklore Theatre and Door Shakespeare, as well as for her own solo shows. Her songwriting skill, rich alto voice, and lively performances have earned her many accolades, including 2010 Big Top Chautauqua Songwriter of the Year.

Jeanne Kuhns weaves mystical lyrics and intriguing musical patterns into a “fusion of bluesy/jazz" wrapped in her brand of progressive folk, powered by a voice that is versatile and intimate. In 2008 Kuhns was voted “Best Female Musician” in the Door County Magazine readers' poll and conceived of and books the Woodwalk Concert Series.

Eric Lewis is a multi-instrumentalist who performs and records with some of the top Memphis artists.  Eric has also toured the country with the first national tour of "Patsy!", He has also worked with Claudia Russell, ‘Doc’ Heide and the American Folklore Theater, and Prairie Home Companion favorites Robin and Linda Williams. In 2008, Eric was voted "Best Male Musician" in the Door County Magazine readers' poll. In 2003, he received the Premier Player Award for Strings by the Memphis Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Rich Higdon is a bassist and percussionist (congas, washboard, spoons) who regularly performs with many of Door County's favorite musicians, including Katie Dahl, Julian Hagen, Lynn Gudmundsen, and Chris Irwin. Art lovers may also recognize Rich from his work as a potter.

Patrick Palmer plays upright and electric bass for many Door County artists including Lynn Gudmundsen, Eric Lewis, Chris Irwin, and is in the band "Lost Mothra".

Mark Raddatz performs Sept 2nd for Eric Lewis and is well known in Door County for his original music and running the open mic at Moja  Rosas.

The Buckets of Rain production is sponsored by the Door County Land Trust, J Jeffrey Taylor Jewelers and Novel Ideas. There will be a special art installation by Skye adorning the stage.
