All hiking and biking trails are open. The last of the trilliums are in bloom, and morel season is coming to an end. Gaywings, wood anemone, large-flowered trillium, yellow violets, and wood violets are now in bloom at Potawatomi, and wild columbine and Canada mayflowers should be blooming next week. FishingBuoys have been set in Sawyer Harbor marking the deepest channel out for boats. Launching piers are in place at the Sawyer Harbor boat launch area. Fishermen launching at the park are having some luck catching small mouth bass, perch, and walleye. CampingAll family and group sites are open for the season. The accessible cabin, shower building, and sanitary dump station are also open. Sites may be reserved for dates up to 11 months in advance. Firewood Notice: Due to the potential of carrying harmful emerald ash borers, firewood from out of state or from more than 25 miles away is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park or Forest properties. Also, firewood that has been in the Wisconsin emerald ash borer quarantined area [PDF 102KB] is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area.
