Breakfast With Santa at Landmark Resort a Highlight of Egg Harbor's Holly Days

Children and their families descend upon the Landmark Resort every year on the day after Thanksgiving to spend some time with Santa Claus and to enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet along with this famous guy. The event is a tradition that highlights Egg Harbor's Holly Days, which includes a tree lighting in Harbor View Park.
This isn’t any old breakfast! The staff at the Landmark goes all out each and every year to provide a wonderful morning for all. There are myriad decorations everywhere, some of which are pretty elaborate. Kids are always fascinated by the little model train under the Christmas tree. But the fun also includes a variety of arts & crafts activities, cookie decorating, and coloring. Santa has helpers working hard to make certain children feel special as they join in at each of the activity tables.
The Landmark Resort is really the perfect place for the event, with its peaceful setting and the terrific view (yes, even in November!) from the banquet room where the event is typically held. Judging from the extensive choice of food on the buffet, no one leaves hungry on this morning!
Santa takes ample time with every child, and the kids wait patiently for their turn as flashes from many cameras light up the scene. This is one Door County event that is dominated by local families rather than by tourists, who are of course also very welcome and do participate. Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, and more make this a bit of a seasonal homecoming for their group. They dress festively to celebrate the occasion. This has to be a rigorous day for the visitor from the North Pole, but the jovial white-bearded fellow takes it all in stride and doesn’t stop listening until the last child is finished with whatever he or she has to say.
After breakfast there’s a hayride around the gorgeous resort grounds of the Landmark. Some may prefer to walk off the hearty meal and enjoy numerous walking paths around this 40-acre property overlooking the bay! In any case, there’s much ambience of the holiday season associated with this very special event. It's highly recommended.
