Little kids learn how to play soccer. |
Hundreds
of kids in Door County add fun to their summer by playing soccer with the Door
County Soccer Association (DCSA). They love to come to the John Miles County Park (the
fairgrounds) to practice their dribbling, shooting and passing, and other
soccer skills. Volunteer coaches
help the kids at practices and games.
Here is some information about DCSA
soccer. The soccer teams are co-ed
and organized by age. Here are the
age groups: 5 yr. olds, 6-7 yr.

14-15 year olds. Siblings can sign up for the same team,
but all other kids are placed in a blind-draw. The games are 4 quarters (15 minutes long for older kids and
shorter for younger players) and the kids have a blast. Soccer is a great way to get
exercise. Think about it: it is
way more fun to run after a ball than it is to just run, isn’t it?
Do
you want to have fun? Do you live
in Door County or spend the summer up here? Do you want something active to do over the summer? Are between 5 and 15 years old? Think about signing up for the Door
County Soccer Association. Registration is in April each year. For more information, check out www.doorsoccer.com.
