"God of Carnage" actors Joe Foust and Kevin McKillip.
Peninsula Players Theatre's popular series of free public seminars continues Sept. 17 with an interactive discussion of the actors' preparation process for the current production of "God of Carnage."
Players company members Joe Foust and Kevin McKillip will share stories and methods and take questions in "An Actor Prepares" from 2:30 - 4 p.m. in the theatre.
Foust and McKillip star with Maggie Carney and Karen Janes Woditsch in the award-winning rollercoaster-ride comedy that will play through Oct. 16 at the Theatre-in-a-Garden. They will share their preparation process for this demanding show as well as stories from their many years acting professionally for Peninsula Players and various regional theatres.
Future seminars that feature each of the cast members will be held each Saturday of the run of the play. Topics may include “How is Dark Comedy Different?,” “Shakespeare,” “Stage Effects,” “How Actors Seek Work,” “Stage Combat,” “Kabuki Theatre” and “A Director Prepares.”
All seminars will be held from 2:30 – 4 p.m. Saturdays in the Players rehearsal hall and are free to the public, but do require advance reservations.
