Wacky Wednesdays at Door Shakespeare
By Door Shakespeare
Sep 28, 2011 - 8:35:39 AM
Wednesdays just got WACKY! Door Shakespeare wants everyone, especially the ‘locals’ to join in the frivolity of its first-ever Fall season offering, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)!" by presenting Wacky Wednesday evening performances, October 5 and 12, at the unheard of low price of just $15 per ticket. Mid-week seats at the Ephraim Village Hall will feature the same professional cast, the same cavalcade of costumes and the same high-tech, 3-D visual effects as full-priced tickets on Thursday through Sunday. But at a 40% discount, Door Shakespeare hopes that Wacky Wednesdays will allow even more folks to share in the wackiest take on Shakespeare since Sarah Bernhardt played Lady Macbeth in an elephant headdress! Director and actor, Ryan Schabach says, "I'm appalled. I'm appalled and ashamed of this organization -that thinks my greatest efforts, reflected here in this fine piece of immortal theatrical achievement can be belittled in this fashion. If you come at this price, you better also buy a fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie at the concessions booth!" Door Shakespeare also offers a special "Man-tinee" performance on Sunday, October, 9 to allow football fans to tailgate at the Ephraim Village Hall after the special 1:30 p.m. show before settling in for that evening's grid-iron conflict and heart-hopping-hoped-for victory. Gentlemen with special friendships and with financial activities that tend toward the frugal, will delight in either the sports-friendly "Man-tinee" or Wacky Wednesdays as a cheap date. Regular price for tickets for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)! are $25 for Adults and $16 for Students. PG-13 suggested age appropriate. Advanced reservations are recommended due to limited seating. Call the Door Shakespeare Office at 839-1500 or visit www.doorshakespeare.com.
